In 2000, the Department of Telecom Operations, Government of India, was rechristened Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL). The total infrastructure asset is worth Rs 12,45,782.3 million (US $31.13 billion).

BSNL has plans to expand its present customer base from 73.6 million lines to 150 million and make infrastructure investments that will triple its net worth in the next three years. Business expansion will not just be limited to cities and towns but will also reach the remotest parts of the country.

BSNL has created an infrastructure of more than 4,000 world class, 24-hour customer-care call centres and single-window customer service centres all over India. A countrywide Network Management and Surveillance System (NMSS) has been established to ensure uninterrupted and efficient telecom services to our customers.

We also specialise in providing a highly effective Consumer Grievances Redressal Mechanism (CGRM) comprising several Open House Sessions and Appellate Tribunals. A superbrand in its category, BSNL has won numerous awards, including the Asia Brand Congress 2008 Brand Excellence Award.
